Rapidly renewing bamboo fabric pads in an organic cotton mesh bag. All items are hand-sewn by artisan women in ergonomically friendly conditions and paid fair wages.

How to Apply

  • Cleansing (oil). Apply Organic Calendula Cleansing Oil to entire face, then wipe off makeup with a dampened Bamboo Face Pad and rinse.
  • Cleansing (cream). Apply Grapefruit Cleanser or Rosemary Cleanser to wet skin. Then dampen a Bamboo Face Pad and wipe it over skin and rinse. 
  • Applying toner. Spritz a few squirts of Organic Rose Toner or Organic Witch Hazel Toner to a Bamboo Face Pad and wipe over skin.
  • Exfoliating. Apply Pineapple Enzyme Exfoliant or Coconut Exfoliant to Bamboo Face Pad and scrub skin vigorously, then rinse.

After each use, rinse and allow to dry completely. Or put in mesh cotton bag and wash with gentle cycle and air dry.

Yes. They can be used to apply both liquid and loose or solid powder cosmetics.
What is the environmental impact of using Bamboo Face Pads as compared with disposable cotton pads?
The environmental impact is huge. Growing cotton and manufacturing the fiber are pesticide, fertilizer, chemical, and water intensive processes. Furthermore, conventional cotton cultivation degrades soil quality, contaminates the surrounding water supply (rivers, lakes, and aquifers), impedes biodiversity, and threatens the health of farm workers due to the high concentration of fertilizers and pesticides (source: https://www.worldwildlife.org/industries/cotton). Of course, the use of GMO cotton has exacerbated the harmful impact of cotton on the environment and farm workers significantly. In fact, there are initiatives around the globe to reduce the adverse impact of cotton cultivation and processing, including the Better Cotton Initiative. 

In stark contrast, bamboos is a fast-growing and tree-like grass that requires no pesticides or herbicide and needs very little water or care to grow. It self-regenerates from its roots after harvest with no re-planting. Plus it releases 35% more oxygen as compared to trees of the same size.

    These are so soft! They are very very easy to clean, even with waterproof makeup. They are very soft on your eyes and when used with cleaning oil or a regular soap cleanser, they work great. I love the size of these and they come in a little bag so you don’t lose them in the laundry 🙂
